Looking for MB2: Endodontic Nirvana.
Finding the Holy Grail. Grabbing the Brass Ring. Finding the MB2 canal in maxillary molars! Pie in the sky? We think not. This lecture addresses breakthrough concepts and details the skills necessary for acquiring the expertise and confidence to perform the highest quality endodontics. As a participant in this program, you will learn "Tricks of the Trade" on how to find the MB2 canal and other anomalous anatomy that exists within the root canal system to provide predictably successful endodontic outcomes

Creating comfort - the concept of self-betrayal in endodontics.
Narratives are part of the fabric of human basic psychology and the narrative fallacy is a strong component that forms the framework for the human belief system. In endodontics we are faced with many narratives that initiate and fuel cognitive dissonance on a daily basis. For example, the endodontic research has eluded to many proxy variables such as depth of the irrigation needle, bubbles forming from NaOCl action, debris around the flutes of instruments, all of which are thought to enhance a particular outcome, however these variables can be considered as surrogate endpoints which may or may not lead to meaningful clinical patient outcomes. The aim of this lecture is to highlight such inconsistencies in the endodontic research and provide better strategies to aid in optimal clinical decision making for clinical treatments.

Problem solving in non-surgical endodontic retreatment.
Root canal retreatment is in most cases challenging. The practitioner may be confronted to obstacles and/or complications such as posts, perforation, ledges, separated instruments, etc. and the removal of the gutta percha may prove to be difficult. The main goal of the retreatment is to remove any material and debris blocking the canal walls from being disinfected. This lecture will take on the newest clinical protocols and challenges on endodontic retreatment.

Endodontic lesions involving maxillary sinus in upper molars: surgical management
The roots of maxillary molars are often in close relationship with the floor of maxillary sinus. This requires particular attention when performing endodontic surgery in this region. In fact, an occasional perforation of the Schneiderian membrane could occur during root-end management in cases of proximity or invasion of the antrum space by a periapical inflammatory tissue. Sinus membrane perforations could cause several sequelae both physiological and clinical. A trauma to the Schneiderian membrane can inhibit ciliar activity predisposing to modifications of mucous aspect and reducing the resistance to infection. Furthermore, clinical complications as nose bleeding, sinus obstruction due to inflammation, and acute or chronic sinus infections are relatively frequent in case of membrane perforation. Plasma rich in growth factors (PRGF) due to its mechanical and cohesive properties could represent a useful tool for the management of sinus membrane perforation. In addition, PRGF has been related to low postoperative discomfort after periapical surgery.
In this lecture will be showed the surgical management of Endodontic lesion inside the sinus and the of use of platelets concentration in this type of surgery.

Endo-resto-dontist: the future of endodontics
It is well proven that in order to get excellent prognosis, restoration of endodontically treated teeth must be done soon and well. Any advance given by modern endodontics will be lost with poor endo-restoration. The lecture will provide detailed description of endo-restorative concept designed and practiced in private practice in Czech Republic. 6500 cases in 13 years performed by 2 endodontists and 2 prosthodontists have created a knowledge and experience base to resolve any further clinical situation. Reasoning, indication, clinical procedure, long-term results. All of the above will be described during the lecture. Importance of magnification, adhesion, material selection and operator skills will be stretched.

Management of Root Canal Obstacles during Retreatments
Posts, root canal filing materials, ledges, calcifications, and broken files, could prevent from reaching the apex during retreatment, so the aim of this presentation is to describe new different techniques to overcome this challenges easily through well illustrated video described many clinical cases with follow ups.

Pathological root resorption
Root resorption of teeth is divided into pathological and physiological. Process of physiological resorption is necessary for the change of deciduous teeth to permanent; pathological resorption is a serious problem, which can cause tooth extraction. Pathological resorption for a long time is asymptomatic process, accompanied by the irreversible decline of dental hard tissue and alveolar bone. Numerous reasons of resorption of tooth structure and not fully clarified etiology of this process often lead to late diagnosis or inappropriate choice of treatment. In this lecture we will discuss types of pathological root resorption, including iatrogenic, its etiology and pathogenesis, principles of diagnosis, choice of materials and new methods of treatment.

Shaping difficult root canals with confidence and predictability.
Specific strategies are required and must be implemented for the management of difficult root canal anatomy included long, narrow, s-curved canals and apical hooks. In these situations, even with most careful attention the slightest mistake can lead to a difficult and often irreversible situation. Canal blockage and/or transportation can occur as early as the initial negotiation step and may compromise the treatment outcome
This presentation will discuss the causes of these mishaps, the way to avoid them but when present, provides the clinical solutions to treat them.
